BELTANE also known as May Day is one of the 8 sabbats on the Medicine Wheel of the Year. It marks the season of planting our gardens of the future. It is a time we celebrate the height of spring.
Beltane represents the mid-point between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice. It is a time to celebrate the sun’s strength as the days continue to get longer. It’s no surprise to learn that the word Beltane translates to “Bright Fire.”
All around us, the earth is in it’s full awakening.
There is something so beautiful and magical about gathering with Women and connecting to the seasons and cycles of nature. The wheel of the year gives us an opportunity to do just that. When we honor our great mother, it connects us to ritual and ceremony that grounds us to the present moment while also bringing deep meaning to our lives.
In a world wrought with distraction, there’s nothing more special than to step away from the hustle culture and immerse yourself in sacred gatherings such as these. The earth gives so much to us and when we slow down and tune in we are able to honor the earth and feel the gratitude in our hearts for all that surrounds us.
Come light a fire in your heart with us! Celebrate this joyful time. Lean into the medicine wheel of the year as it turns to Beltane.
What will our time together look like?
We will be gathering in circle around a gorgeous Beltane altar. The altar serves as the sacred anchor for our time together. We’ll discuss some of the rituals and lore of Beltane.
As with all our retreats and gatherings, we will have time for sharing circle. We will also steep ourselves in ceremony. We’ll spend some time in guided meditation and do some journaling. We will pull cards and discuss the cosmos. We also have a fun witchy activity planned. If the weather permits, we will plan to spend some time outside.
Tea and light refreshments will be provided.
Immersed in nature, together, we will honor the change of season – the turning of the wheel.
Your Guides
The work that Angie and I do together is centered around creating a sacred container for Women to gather. This is done intentionally and intuitively to provide a safe space for you to show up just as you are. The energetic container that holds us during our time is the foundation for all that we do.
Our work is also centered around sharing circles. As women, we rarely get an opportunity to speak our joys, sorrows, goals, intentions and reflections in a non-judgemental space. That is the beauty of a sharing circle. We are not here to fix, but rather to hold space for Women to show up and share whatever may be on their heart. Circles are incredibly cathartic and healing in this way.
