Autumn

Autumn is a living prayer

And a beautiful metaphor.

She whispers,

Remember to die.

Let others gasp at your beauty

As you fall back to earth.

Allow the shell of who you were

To decompose on the forest floor.

Remember to die,

So you can be reborn.

Again and again.

Find yourself in the flowers

Recognize your beauty in the trees.

Remember to die,

So you can live forever.
